Great stuff. You've got a really strong portfolio. Is your character based off of you? I also totally love your sketchbook pages. Good luck! Hopefully we both make it in :)
ReplyDeletethank you so much! yes the character is based off of me! I found it easier that way-no accidental stealing of any pre existing characters! thank you so much! best of luck to you too! (^O^☆♪

ReplyDeleteSo proud of your work Tori, so excited to see how you do...I believe in you xo
ReplyDeleteWoW you are so genius. I love your portfolio. I am also preparing the Sheridan College Animation portfolio. But I wonder what size do I have to use? Some requirements are required (Character rotation, expression sheets, action pose sheets are 8.5"x11") right? However, rest of them are not fixed. So I am confused... Could you answer me?
ReplyDeleteWow thANK YOU ♡ ♡ this made my day! And of course I'll help! Those specific pieces are supposed to be 8.5x11 and they HAVE to be that size paper, but the portfolio can be whatever size you want! I've seen people get in with 8.5x11 portfolios and also with 18x24 portofolios! When I did my layout pieces, I did them on bond paper that was 14x17 so I just got a portfolio that was 14x17 :) I hope this helped! I'd love to answer more questions if you have more!
DeleteGreat work! I was wonering if the personal artworks have to be original drawings. For my portfolio all the rewuirements are original but I'm scanning my personal artworks since some are too big to fit. Do you know if it,s safe to do it?
ReplyDeletethats totally cool! sorry i only saw this now! but lets say you want to put in a big painting, or even a big mashup of a bunch of life drawings- i just always make sure to LABEL whatever you do! i had label stickers to say what was and what wasnt original. (like my personal pieces, the life drawing wasnt original since the actual original was way too big) hope this helps!
DeleteHi! Congratulations! I was just wondering what kind of pen or pencils you used for your hand drawings?
ReplyDeletehi there! uhm, this was 2 years ago, so i dont exactly remember! but im like?? 80% certain that i used this pencil crayon as the light blue guide:http://www.jetpens.com/Pilot-Color-Eno-Mechanical-Pencil-0.7-mm-Soft-Blue-Body-Soft-Blue-Lead/pd/1472
Deleteand this mechanical pencil for the clean line: https://www.amazon.com/Paper-Mate-Sharpwriter-Mechanical-3030131/dp/B00006IEE4
